Mauritius Wants to Attract Retirees?
According to the newspaper Le Figaro, the country would have in its sights wealthy retirees, "A little paradise, this is how we like to describe Mauritius.

It is true that between its climate, turquoise blue lagoons and white sandy beaches, this state of the Indian Ocean is not without assets.

Qualities that appeal to the French, the latter also attracted a lively French-speaking and low time difference (2 or 3 hours), represent a third of a million annual visitors to the island. Wealthy retirees enjoy, in turn, to reside in a country with attractive tax: no tax on capital, no inheritance tax, flat tax on income of 15%. "

Under this section, Maurice difficult to attract investors for his real estate projects. "And yet, in times of crisis, these arguments are not enough in attracting investors in local real estate projects. So far, a number of programs involved imposing villas sold between 1 and 2 million, but now struggling to find buyers. The latest real estate projects so repeat imagination and try to reduce the bill. "

The author cites the many projects currently in progress with the specificities described. "Among them, the village Azur, whose marketing was launched last month by Sotheby's International Realty. Located in the northeast of the island, a former sugar cane field of 170 acres along a beautiful beach will accommodate 169 apartments offered to foreigners as well as 100 units reserved for Mauritians and a 5 star hotel. Originality? A more open model that combines local and foreign, and much more affordable prices: between 500 000 dollars (about 360,000 euros) 180 m2 with three bedrooms and 800,000 dollars (570,000 euros) for the duplex and pent-houses .

"In the southeast of the island, La Balise Marina program is launched by a local family-run conglomerate backed by a financial group in South Africa. This is the only marina project on the island, a must for lovers of water sports. "

The months will determine whether those efforts are paying off Mauritius to the French seniors, concludes the author.
