There will be no need for aspiring doctors to do their first year of study abroad. Starting next year, the University of Mauritius offer a degree in medicine for the new students and professionals.

Rajesh Jeetah added that he plans to work with Konrad Morgan in the interests of the University of Mauritius. "This is the work that matters. We will work forever. We must not be carried away by the controversy, " said Minister of Higher Education.

As to the costs of these courses, the University of Mauritius offers no figure yet. "The arrangements are under development," argues Subratty Hussein.
