The first workshop, for enterprises that are already exporting to those countries, was held on Tuesday, while one for enterprises interested in exporting will be held on Wednesday.
The third for enterprises that should export will be held on Thursday.
“The total import of these three countries amounts to $25 billion out of which $16.3 million accounts for Mauritius. We can do much better than this on goods and services, such as ICT services, textile and education,” said Amedée Darga, president of Enterprise Mauritius.
“The meeting will open new avenues for companies. Some ask whether it is difficult to export to Africa. Well, surely someone is exporting $24 billion worth of goods and services to them, of which we can take a larger chunk,” added the president.
