Hindu House Mobilises for Maha Shivaratree
In the context of the celebrating Maha Shivaratree, the sociocultural association, Hindu House, in collaboration with the Rashtriya Sanatan Dharma Sanghatan and the Sanatan Dharma Purohit Mandal, will undertake a food distribution for pilgrims coming from the north of the island heading to Grand Bassin from February 18 to 19.

Hence, an area of 30,000 square feet has been made available by the Municipality of Port Louis to welcome the devotees during and after their pilgrimage at Grand Bassin. The HinHouse is also putting a hall of 10,000 square feet at the disposal of devotees to relax. Cultural programmes by artistes of socio-cultural associations have also been planned. This was announced by Veerendra Ramdhun, president of the Hindu House at a press conference.

He also made an appeal to the Central Water Authority to supply sufficient water during the celebrations of Maha Shivratree. Prayer sessions will be held by the pundits of the Sanatan Dharma Purohit Mandal at the Ganga Talao on February 21 morning.
