The president of the Student Union, Navish Fokeerah stated, “We noted that many classes are overpopulated and we are suggesting the introduction of a software system, which will allocate classes automatically,” said Fokeerah.
The software will store data on the number of classes, students and lecturers. Depending on the number of students for a specific module and seating capacity of the class, the software will assign a classroom.
Fokeerah stated that the software will most likely be developed by the Centre for Information Technology & Systems (CITS) of the university or can be outsourced to a specialised IT company.
The president underlined that administrais currently evaluating the project.
