At Least 150 Hotels and Restaurants Made Contrary by the Tourism Authority

Several complaints from customers unhappy with the service in restaurants and hotels have pushed the Tourism Authority to strengthen its inspections. "The accusations against some tourist establishments have increased steadily since the beginning of the year" , says a part of the Tourism Authority.

"We have indeed taken in violation of 150 hotels and restaurants, between January and March 2012, and we are always very vigilant," says Niven Moonessamy, the director of the Tourism Authority. Offenses such noise pollution and the failure of health conditions are most common.

Some restaurants offer live music until very late. Others operate with kitchens in a state that is weak. "These are things we can not allow our officers continue to be on the ground," continues the director of the Tourism Authority.

The hotel Indian Resort has been sanctioned. Note that the hotel group Apavou, which includes the hotel, had been in the crosshairs of the Tourism Authority since October 2011.

Indeed, the hotel Mornea had been forced to close his restaurant and 60 rooms after inspections by the officers of the Tourism Authority, the fire service, police and health inspectors.
