Forbach: 200 Acres Of Cane Threatened By Fire Since Noon

A fire broke out in mid-day on Wednesday 10 October. The cane fields of Forbach in the north of the island, close to the shopping center "Circle Square" are the flames. Firefighters are on site.

According to the fire services, 14 hours, more than 50 arpents of canes were reduced to ashes. Currently, 200 acres are threatened. Recovery stalls located near the highway, not far from the fire area were evacuated.

The fire also reached the pylons and cables in this area. Twenty firefighters and the Divisional Fire Officer, Dorsamy Ayacouty are on site.
