The expiry date was advanced a year on bags of 500 g and 1 kg of milk " Cowland ". Indeed, the Health Inspectorate Ministry of Health was informed that expired milk was sold on the free market.

"On the import documents, the expiration date is 12 November 2012. This milk was bagged and the expiry date has been advanced to November 2013. We toured the island to retrieve all the bags of milk , "says Satish Beeharry, principal health inspector of the Central Flying Squad.
The bags were seized everywhere throughout the island. 18 kg of milk were seized at Rivière-du-Rempart, 96 kg in Rose Hill, Pamplemousses 107 kg, 98 kg and Rose-Belle 70 kg in Saint-Pierre. Authorities rely on resellers to contribute to the operation.
