Universities Construction to Begin this Year

The Ministry of Tertiary Education will soon launch the tender to start the construction of universities that the minister of Tertiary Education, Rajesh Jeetah announced.

Jeetah stated: “Two universities will be situated in Montagne-Blanche and Pamplemousses. The tender for the construction will be launched soon and the works are set to begin this year.”

He highlighted: “These universities will offer courses in various fields, including tourism, sustainable development and languages. Moreover they will be equipped with modern equipment and facilities, which will take some time. The administration has delayed the procedure but soon after the tender is launched, work will begin.”

Jeetah added: “Construction for Rose Belle and Highlands campuses will follow.”

At the UoM, intake is increased each year, however the infrastructure has remained the same and this year there will be more developments in infrastructure.
