The information gathered on the ground this morning indicate that the fire broke out around 7:00 before the flames spread rapidly into other compartments of the commercial building, dating from 1830, is one of the oldest Rue Royale. At first, firefighters, under the responsibility of the Divisional Fire Officer Dorsamy Ayacooty, should take appropriate action to prevent the flames from reaching the other buildings located within the perimeter. But the firefighters have done anything to the scale of the disaster that had ravaged the building in wood and metal.
