From Monday: Bread at the Same Price as White Bread

This alignment of the price of bread made from whole wheat flour reduced to the bread made from white flour, following a decision of the Council of Ministers. Thus, for example, the baguette 400 grams will be sold at Rs 11, 20 for white and wholemeal bread. The main reason behind this change is that the government wants to promote the consumption of wheat flour for a healthier nutrition. "We join with the government's decision to bring those prices because we want to participate in this campaign. In other words, with this change of price, we make a social gesture. We want Mauritians of all social strata, can buy and consume this type of bread. In this context, we focus more on the health of the population of our business, "says the Mauritian Nazir Hosany, president of the association bakery owners.
