Horse Racing, 21th Day: Vettel Attack Mauritius Derby
Vettel aims for this Saturday to succeed Ice Axe awards at the Mauritius Derby after scoring his name in the history of the Bicentenary Trophy. It now follows in the footsteps of Ice Axe, who had made a similar journey last year. Course which culminated in a title of Horse of the Year, to the Supertote Golden Trophy and the Maiden. This is the same course that will attempt to achieve Vettel, the powerful stayer Gujadhur stable.
But until the next elections which led to the Maiden, it must first overcome the obstacle posed by Mauritius Derby. On paper, it's scarecrow figure, but two horses can aspire to bring down even if the condition of the race - the final round of the Championship will be played 4-years equal weight - is in his favor.
His two challengers are called Liquid Motion Seeking and Angelo. Liquid Motion is best placed to take the title in the championship including a 1st and 2nd places in the first two rounds, while Seeking Angelo remains on four consecutive victories. It would also be interesting to see the tactics adopted by Vettel Saturday because it may not be in the head position and rope in the presence of Mining Prospect in its interior.
