Customs Fraud on a Mercedes: Second Arrest...
Dhaneswar Toolsee, SS Motorpoint, suspected of having acted as an intermediary in the matter of customs fraud on a Mercedes convertible worth Rs 18 million, was arrested Tuesday.

It is believed to have played in the middle of a network of fraudsters who abuse the exemption from customs duty granted to Mauritians returning home. Dhaneswar Toolsee, SS Motorpoint, was arrested on Tuesday August 6. It is held in a cell and is expected to appear in court tomorrow, Wednesday, August 7.

As a reminder, Ashish Kumar Seeburrun is charged with conspiracy to defraud the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). For investigators, Ashish Kumar Seeburrun allegedly used on his return to Britain, a scheme to benefit from a tax exemption on behalf of a third party.

Thierry Lagesse, senior executive in several companies is believed to have benefited from its services. It is expected the central barracks on his return to the country to provide explanations.
