Mauritius is one of the ten countries identified by the African Union to prepare the roadmap for the post-2015 development of Africa. And recommendations presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs were selected Monday, September 23 at a meeting in the work of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The need for Africa to engage in a sustained development, protection of human rights or the mobilization of resources to finance the development of the continent ... The recommendations made by Mauritius serve as template for African countries when they discuss the during the post-2015 development. They were selected Monday, September 23 at a meeting of the African Union (AU) in New York as part of the work of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

This is the Foreign Minister Arvin Boolell, who presented the recommendations of Mauritius, one of the ten countries identified by the AU to prepare the paper and a joint position on the African continent in New York.

One, there is the need for Africa to engage in a sustained and sustainable development while promoting the role of youth, women and the elderly. Thus, with 60% of arable land untapped, there is a great potential for the development of agriculture. The involvement of African women in this area could provide the industry with an added value.

And the promotion and protection of human rights are essential to the sustainable development of Africa conditions. Maurice recommendations also cover the mobilization of resources to finance the development of the continent in a context where the funds donated by some countries are no longer available. New forms of funding must be considered as well, especially at the African Development Bank.
