For the second consecutive year, Xavier-Luc Duval was elected Africa's Minister of Finance. The prize was awarded yesterday, Thursday, October 10, at the Africa Investor Investment and Business Leader Awards in conjunction with the annual meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
"The efforts of Mauritius to diversify its economy, democratizing access to finance, resist the crisis and intensify efforts to support Africa's development are recognized," said Xavier-Luc Duval at the ceremony prices last night in Washington.
Other nominees for the African Finance Minister, ministers from Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Morocco, Ghana, Namibia and Zambia.
