Budget 2014 - Health: Family Physicians Soon Be a Reality

This is a project that goes back to a lot of years. The Minister of Finance announced yesterday, Friday, November 8, the introduction of the system of family doctors. These should be assigned in different Area Health Centres . And to ensure they have the skills, they will be trained through the University of Bordeaux.

Other side of the recruitment announcement: the four diabetologists. 33 specialists will also be integrated into the public health service to ensure a 24-hour service in hospitals. According to the Ministry of Health, gynecology and pediatrics would be the first affected.

32 GPs will also be recruited in order to implement a system shift in emergencies. Recruitment of 300 Student Nurses and 400 Health Care Assistants buckle series of recruitments.

The Ministry of Health will invest Rs 50 million for major operations to be performed abroad. This allowance goes to Rs 800,000, down from Rs 500,000 last year. Before the fiscal year from last year, this award was Rs 200,000.

The budget of the Ministry of Health has also been revised upwards. Rs 8.7 billion in 2013, $ 9.2 billion is going to Rs 2014.
