Position of Pro-Vice Chancellor: UoM Chooses Thanika Juwaheer

His appointment follows a recommendation of the Joint Council and Senate Committee . And the university council chose Thanika Devi Juwaheer, currently Associate Professor in Management Department, the law and management faculty on campus.
The appointment is subject to acceptance of the offer by the latter, says the University of Mauritius (UoM), in a statement issued yesterday, Wednesday, March 19.
As a reminder, this is on 29 January that the former incumbent in this position, the Briton Paul Currant, had submitted his resignation . He had been appointed pro vice-chancellor for planning and resource management at the beginning of October. His resignation should be effective from March 31.
