According to journalists and filmmakers present, Mauritius is a popular and suitable for the celebration of the wedding destination. According to available statistics there are about 20,000 couples who marry each year in Shanghai and who leave their country to celebrate their wedding abroad.
Mauritius ranks as a flagship destination where couples can combine Chinese travel, marriage, relaxing honeymoon. Chinese delegation met during the past week the Minister Michael Sik Yuen to discuss various projects and film shoots in Mauritius. Chinese artists rely on the support of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority as well as various hotel partners.
Chinese films shooting in Mauritius represents an excellent opportunity to better present and visible in this market, says Michael Sik Yuen. During their stay in Mauritius, the Chinese delegation will identify sites and places for shooting films. To date, three Chinese films were made in Mauritius in 2013.
