Announcement made at the Annual General Meeting of the Mauritius Export Association (MEXA) regarding the new role he will soon assume as President of the Indian Ocean Commission, this Thursday, April 13.
The reason is that Mauritian exporters are facing high transport costs with Africa despite duty free concessions as Mauritius is currently penetrating into the trading markets of African countries. This is due to the high cost of living, explained Alan Ganoo.
