Salary compensation: Rs 635 for those earning less than Rs 50,000

To support household purchasing power amid current economic conditions, the government has announced a monthly salary compensation of Rs 635 — equivalent to 3.7 % of the national minimum wage (Rs 17,110) — for all employees earning a base salary of less than Rs 50,000 per month.
