According to the Ministry of Information Technology, these security flaws could allow hackers to access certain information without permission or disrupt online services.
Following advice from the National Cybersecurity Committee, and in line with similar precautions taken internationally, the government has decided to temporarily shut down websites and services that could be at risk.
The affected platforms are managed by the Government Online Centre and the Central Information Systems Division. They include the websites of the Registrar, the Supreme Court and Parliament, as well as some links in the Korek app.
The ministry's technical teams are now checking the affected systems, installing updates and fixing security issues.
Other ministries, public organisations and institutions have also been asked to check their IT systems and install any necessary security updates.
The ministry says the temporary shutdown is a precaution to protect users' data and keep government online services secure.
However, the risk is not limited to government websites. Private businesses should also check their systems, as PHP-related security vulnerabilities can affect their websites too.
