This joint initiative of the Ministry of Business, Enterprise, Cooperatives and Consumer Protection, the National Institute for Cooperative Entrepreneurship (NICE) and NPCC will include about 70 technical staff of the ministry and representatives of various organisations working for the promotion of cooperative societies.
At the workshop, discussions will be held with around 15 different institutions. The various plans and incentives proposed will be compiled into a booklet which will then be distributed to the public.
The main objective is to make the facilities and plans which cooperatives can benefit from accessible to a wider audience.
The document will contain the various support policies offered by various institutions such tax exemption, technical support, training and assistance in credit, trade promotion, investment property and infrastructure among others.
This awareness exercise is part of the policy of the ministry to enhance cooperative development by encouraging the public to take advantage of available support measures.
