At least 900 employees of the Casinos of Mauritius are going to strike

The protest can start on March 15, because employees have not been paid their attendance bonuses.
The spokesperson of the casino employees, Mr Jayen Moorghen, said that they were informed by management on February 24 that they will not be paid their attendance bonus. He added that the company is making huge profits and have benefitted from an additional savings of some Rs21 million per year after government banned smoking in public places and casinos have stopped giving free cigarettes to customers.
