2013 FIFA Congress will be hosted by Mauritius

It should take place at the end of May 2013, but the dates are not yet fixed.

The Mauritius Football Association has officially declared that Mauritius will host the FIFA Congress in 2013.

"It'sa great privilege for our country to host an event of this scale. (...) The fallout will be enormous for the country at all levels ", says MFA president, Vinod Persunoo.

The battle was not easy since the competitors: Russia, Italy, Denmark, Singapore, Honduras, Botswana, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

The organization of the 63rd Congress is under the responsibility of FIFA. MFA in turn will be responsible for the safety of delegates and on-site facilities. Indeed, Mauritius will host about 1,200 people who come from around the world. The venue of the congress will be at Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre at the end of May 2013. But the dates are not yet fixed.
