Govt is working on information bill

The parliamentary session that was held on Tuesday addressed various issues, including the implications of introducing a legislation on the freedom of information.
Possible introduction of Freedom of Information Bill

In reply to a question from MP Eric Guimbeau on the introduction of a Freedom of Information Bill, Prime Minister Dr Navin Ramgoolam said that the government was looking into all the implications of such a legislation, especially in light of the substantial problems that have arisen in countries which have already adopted the Freedom of Information Legislation.
