No need to wait several weeks to accommodate home dog or cat arriving from abroad. The quarantine period has indeed been reduced from 30 to 5 working days. This, as diseases are now detected in 12 to 24 hours thanks to new technologies, says the Council of Ministers on Friday, November 22.

And if all tests are negative and valid certificates, animals can even be delivered to their owners earlier. But if they come from countries affected by rabies quarantine period of one month will be maintained.
