In line with the promotion of Vanilla Islands, 10 tour operators from Nordic countries, accompanied by representatives of Air France, KLM Denmark, Atout France and Ile de la Réunion Tourisme, are on the island to explore local attractions such as spa, golf and excursions.
They also spent three days, May 26 to 28, in Reunion island as part of an educational tour.
Some of the six Danish and four Swedish tour operators have visited the island before while others are discovering it for the first time.
The tour operators planned this combined trip for the winter season 2011.
Dr Karl Mootoosamy, director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), met the group and presented the concept of Vanilla islands. The trip is an initiative of Air Mauritius / Air France
