Maurel Frères Group is proposing to come forward with a residential area development project at Grande Rosalie. The project will be built on 71,901.78 square meters of land which will be divided into 55 plots.
Provision has also been made for a recreational area for children as well as green spaces. The site was used for sugarcane plantation till 2007 but is presently not being used. The land is situated between L’Amitié and Mon Loisir villages.
The promoter of the project is also proposing to install all the necessary infrastructures, including water, electricity supply and road access. According to the firm, the project is in line with the government’s aim to help every citizen to have a roof over their head.
The Maurel Frères Group has already submitted an application to the Ministry of Housing and Lands for authorisation to go ahead with the new venture. Contractors who will be building the houses at the identified site will have to strictly abide by the terms of the sales contract.
“At the implementation phase of the morcellement project, the Maurel Frères Group will regularly ensure that the building contractors commissioned, execute the said project in strict conformity with the specifications and terms of the contract, as well as with the conditions of the Morcellement Unit of the Ministry of Housing and Lands,” reads the firm’s official document.
The document goes on to read, “Any deviation from the contract and the conditions of the Morcellement Unit will be checked forthwith, and remedial measures will be promptly taken.”
