Africa Business Club Mauritius: Mauritian Skilled to Succeed in Africa

They did not wait for the economic emergence of Africa to go. Rama Sithanen, Amédée Darga, Afsar Ebrahim, Cédric de Speville and Aisha Mosaheb have launched a month ago, the "Mauritius Africa Business Club" (MABC) to put their experiences in the field.

Launched in October 2012 in Ebony, the MABC is essentially to gather the "market intelligence," says Afsar Ebrahim, Deputy Group Managing Partner of BDO Mauritius. "It is based on the experience gained in the field by our members," he says.

Weakened by the Euro crisis, Mauritius seeks not only to refocus its economy on the continent, but to become a platform to the new frontier of investment. "We were a formidable lead Indian investment to Africa. Today, Mauritius is becoming a leading investment from other Asian sources, Mauritius and Africa to Africa, "says Amédée Darga, Chairman of Enterprise Mauritius.

"A lot of business in Africa are structured from Mauritius. We want to bring more perspectives, volume and density now , "added the former Minister of Finance, Rama Sithanen.
