Mauritius Goes Alert 2 while Dumile Approaching...
Mauritius went on alert 2 from 16:30 on Wednesday, January 2. The alert will continue until 2 next newsletter scheduled for 22:00. Dumile has maintained its leadership while intensifying during the last hours.

A 16hrs this afternoon, the tropical storm was located 450 km north-west of Mauritius, latitude 16.6 degrees south and longitude 55.1 degrees east. It continues to move in a direction generally south-southwest at a speed of 20 km / h.

Weather conditions remain favorable for intensification of low pressure system. Winds of 100 km / h were recorded at the center of the cyclone. Weather Mauritius provides an intensification of the storm with winds that reach 150km / h during the night. The wind blows at 40 KM / h gusting to 80 KM / h.

According to the meteorological services Dumile represent a potential danger to Mauritius if its trajectory was declining towards the south.Under these conditions Maurice Weather consider the possibility of moving in alert 3.
