CPE: Cheating Via Mobile

CPE students are on the alert while most are relieved to have put an end to their exams this Friday with the Mathematics test. Indeed, they were caught red-handed while they were cheating on Wednesday.

"Some students were surprised to exchange answers through their mobile phone. The phones were seized and sanctions will be taken, "said to Le Matnal, director of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES), Lucien Finette. For other cases of cheating, the director said that so far, nothing has been disclosed and is awaiting the final report to provide an overview of the tests.

The MES has 2200 revisers for these exams. The corrections will be at 12 -25 of November 25 at the Louis Nellan Govt School, E. Rochecouste Govt School, Phoenix Govt School, Remy Ollier Govt School, N. Saddul Govt School and Baichoo Madhoo Govt School.

"Some 5,792 people worked for these examinations in 1616 auditoriums," said Lucien Finette. The latter also indicated that MES had also planned a dozen additional centers. The results of the CPE will be announced between 10 and 12 December.

Note that this year, children will not lose one year if they have failed in one subject as they can the board during a 'resit exam'. "It 'resit exam' will be held on December 20 and it will allow those who failed in a matter of catching up. The MES has already taken steps to organize the examinations a second chance, "said Lucien Finette out.
