Surprise visits to restaurants, snack bars, shops and other outlets across the island have allowed the Department of Health inspectors to seize 276 kilos of inedible products between 20 and 26 December. Chicken, fish, milk, fruits, vegetables, syrup and cans were seized to be destroyed. During the same period 37 tickets and seven Prohibition Orders were issued.
Enhanced inspectors of the Ministry of Health team currently travels the island. Objective: Pin traders who do not comply with the Food Act.
