This committee was established to investigate allegations made recently on the Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College. Its role is also to ascertain whether the practice of medicine by students of this school to Jawarhalal Nehru Hospital, Rose-Belle, was done legally.
It is through a letter sent to the board of the TEC, we learn that Dhiraj Seetulsing, who is also Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, was informed that he could no longer chair the FFC. The only information available is that the former judge said that there is a conflict of interest concerning. According to our sources, he wants to meet with the Chairman of the TEC to give more details.
Dhiraj Seetulsing was appointed Chairman of the Fact-Finding Committee on March 6, with assessors Dr. Ahad Aubdool, a former director in the Ministry of Health, and Guy Wong So, the Ministry of Finance.
