Joe Lesjongard inaugurated a new Central Electricity Board customer service center in Tamarin, yesterday Saturday October 21. The Minister of Energy and Public Utilities highlighted that the number of consumers in this region increased from 4,800 in 2013 to 9,000 this year.
According to Lesjongard, the CEB works tirelessly to provide good service to the population, particularly in green energy production and renewable energies. Electricity producers produce from 5 kilowatts to millions of kilowatts in Mauritius. Thus, the government's objective, in addition to energy production, is also to modernize the CEB network and its access to the population, he said.
For his part, the elected representative of constituency number 14 (Savanne-Rivière-Noire) and Minister of Transport Alan Ganoo stressed that this project for the well-being of the inhabitants of Tamarin cost Rs 40 million.
