Key interest rate maintained at 4.5%

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Mauritius has decided to maintain the key interest rate at 4.5%.

overnor Dr. Priscilla Muthoora Thakoor described the decision as prudent, influenced by local and international inflation prospects. At its previous meeting in November, the committee had already opted for the status quo.

The Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Priscilla Muthoora Thakoor, faced the press this afternoon, following the 77th Monetary Policy Committee meeting.

Le Repo Rate est resté inchangé, à 4 %, à l’issue de la réunion du Monetary Policy Committee, ce jeudi 10 novembre. Ainsi en ont décidé les membres du comité, tenant compte des «conditions économiques mondiales incertaines».
