A new market is opening in Chemin Grenier

A long-awaited project has finally become a reality in the south. Inaugurated on Friday, 25 September, the new Chemin Grenier market fulfils a commitment made as far back as 2012.

On Sunday, two MPs from the region visited the site to assess the new facility. According to them, the public is very satisfied with the new development, which is now open seven days a week. Raveen Jugurnauth, MP for Constituency No. 14, said that the market will help eliminate “Illegal Operators”. Street vendors who had previously operated on the pavements now have access to a clean and secure space.
