MFA: Our football in a big risk!
The undeclared war in the Mauritius Football Association (MFA) does not go away. The lull of several days has been a sham. The conflict within the Steering Committee swells.

The last meeting of management last Friday did not go as cordially as some would believe. The fire covered by ashes and, at this rate, the specter of a suspension of our football is more heavy on our heads while our players are the biggest losers.

What will happen to the Mauritian football? Very clever man who will know the outcome in this case. Still, everyone has their own opinion and his own interpretation at the moment. What is clear is that it runs to the disaster. The non-footballing matters have taken precedence over football. The competition remains open for several weeks. Blame it on a terrible situation which paralyzes the activities.

The statement by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Devanand Ritoo, publisher of Weekend yesterday, which says nothing more understanding in this matter and that for him, officially, is the president of Anoop Madhow MFA, let the football world perplexed. "We also do not understand much above the state does not seem to be on the same wavelength as the Fifa that it recognizes as president Vinod Persunoo" suggests several club members.

For many observers of football, the battle at the MFA goes well beyond the federal government. If for many, the situation is out of proportion, it has similarities to what happened in 2002.

"We all remember an issue between the MFA, the Registrar of Associations and even the government which led to the arbitration of FIFA. It is not far from a similar scenario, "argue many local football fans.

It will heat up this afternoon

The way things are going, we are not far to reach a point of no return in terms of MFA. The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) decided once between Persunoo Madhow and to confirm the first appointed president but with reforms to be carried out in the statutes to conform with the highest body of football in perspective new elections. "It is urgent to restore elections to restore order in the federation," support more delegates.Today, there will be a new episode in this series of summer with the meeting of the clubs.

The representatives of the clubs first and second divisions have appointments at the headquarters of the federation at Trianon at 16 h 15 from the kick-off competitions. A meeting that promises lively since the discontent is palpable in the majority of clubs in relation to the sudden removal of the professional league this season or the case of USBBRH, Bamboo Star of the West and Curepipe Starlight.

"We have trouble understanding this decision and it will be discussed at the meeting of the club on Monday afternoon," can be heard in the community clubs. "There is no logic in that management of the federation decides. There is too much ambiguity in the cancellation of the professional league which is a setback for our football, 'says other representatives of clubs. "We will vigorously our voice and we can not pay the consequences of the ego of some leaders of the federation," suggests an opposition member.

Already, anger is intense among the clubs who have heard this afternoon, the main steering committee members were conspicuous by their absence.

"We expect to have Vinod Persunoo, the chairman of the MFA, but also and especially Anoop Madhow, the Chair of Competition Committee to listen to what the clubs have to say. It is hoped that they will not shirk, "one hears from representatives of clubs. In short, it will heat grave today at Trianon.
