Operation Crack Down on Fast Food
Restoration, classic, fast or take-away, will be subject to health checks strengthened in December. The operation aims to inspect institutions, retailers and independent, high-risk.

Controls relate to hygiene, compliance storage temperatures of product compliance cleaning procedures as well as training of staff, including seasonal, general hygiene principles. The objective is to ensure the safety of consumers during this period marked by an increase in external consumption.

Satish Beharee, head of the Central Flying Squad of the Ministry of Health, says that future actions will be primarily focused on institutions using products suitable for the growth of microorganisms, including milk, eggs and meat, because from heat. Some 150 officers assigned to 13 medical offices across the country were mobilized to carry out this operation tighter controls. Any offender faces a prison sentence of up to two years.

Satish Beharee, head of the inspectorate team from the Ministry of Health, says that food controls are strengthened in December, but exist throughout the year.

According to official data from the period January to September, the Central Flying Squad conducted 23,420 health inspections of food service establishments on the island. Results: 724 minutes, 111 Prohibition Orders and 1991 Improvement Notices were served. These operations have led to the seizure of 305 tons of unfit for consumption. 3064 food samples were sent to laboratories and Reduces Candos. From this list, the authorities carried out 125 tests chemical and microbiological tests in 1829.

For the same period, 530 people have pleaded guilty and 91 cases were referred to the courts.
