Mauritius Choosed Best Honeymoon Destination

Mauritius won the prize for the best honeymoon destination in the world. The award was presented by World Travel Awards, Saturday, Nov. 30. It was during an evening at La Cigale Hotel in Doha, where Maurice was represented by our honorary consul in Lebanon, Salem Beydoun.

There were more than 200,000 professionals in the tourism industry, including travel agents, tour operators and tourist organizations have participated in the vote. This new award, the Tourism Minister Michael Sik Yuen, the awards - once again - the work done by professionals in the Mauritian tourism. In the same vein, he emphasized the importance of promoting the growth segments of tourism, including honeymoons.

"We have celebrated many weddings in our tropics including those of Indian, Chinese and European. We do not intend to stop in so good way and we even made ??special packages for those wishing to celebrate their wedding in Mauritius with their guests, " supports the Minister Sik Yuen.

In fact, this year is the third time that Maurice is awarded at the World Travel Awards . In May, the country had swept the Indian Ocean's Leading Dive Destination and the Indian Ocean's Leading Honeymoon Destination . Founded in 1993, World Travel Awards recognizes and rewards excellence in the travel industry, tourism and Home worldwide.
