Back to school – 3rd trimester: the dates for primary school are as follows

The month of August is always rich in activities for both students and teachers in Mauritius. After the middle school students last week, the primary school students begin the third quarter on this Monday, August 7.

This term will be marked by several academic activities such as completion of the study program and revisions for final exams. For the Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) exams, Grade 6 students will take the second modular Science and History and Geography exams on Monday August 28 and Tuesday August 29 respectively.

The first modular exams of these two subjects for Grade 5 students are scheduled for September 29.

The exams for the core subjects are as follows:

• French – Thursday October 26,
• English – Friday October 27,
• Oriental languages, Arabic, Kreol Morisien and Kreol Rodrig – Monday October 30
• Mathematics – Tuesday, October 31.

These dates also apply to Grade 5 students, who will take the PSAC exams as private candidates. They will, however, have a full exam to do for Science and History and Geography, which is scheduled for Thursday October 26 and Monday October 30 respectively.
