The pass rate for the National Certificate of Education (NCE) examinations for the Republic of Mauritius is 69.5%. This was revealed by the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) on Tuesday morning during a press briefing in Réduit.
This figure shows a decrease compared to last year, when 74.6% of students passed. Girls, as usual, outperformed boys with a pass rate of 73.5% while boys are at 65.3%.
Out of the 14,044 students who sat for the National Certificate of Education (NCE) examinations this year, only 495 achieved excellence by obtaining 8 units (212 boys and 283 girls).
