State Bank of Mauritius (SBM): The "SBM Achiever" is a loan for students taking courses at the university or a training center in Mauritius or abroad. This loan has a moratorium on the repayment of capital throughout the study period. The maximum loan amount is Rs 4 million for funding of up to 100% with a very attractive interest rate. A moratorium on repayment of principal up to five years is available (including a moratorium of six months after graduation the time to find a job). Only the interest due during this period. 

Bramer Bank: For a student loan with collateral, the minimum amount is Rs 25,000, while the maximum amount is Rs 2 million. To be eligible for a student loan, it shall submit to the financial institution proof of registration with a recognized institution leading to a degree, license, or unmaster a doctorate. The borrower has the option to begin repayment of interest and principal, as soon as the loan disbursed, or start repayment of interest only during the period of study, and six months after graduation, begin repayment of principal and interest.
