Heavy rain warning: public and private schools closed

Due to the heavy rain warning issued this morning by the weather station, the Ministry of Education has announced the suspension of classes in all public and private pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools, as well as in schools with special educational needs and technical and vocational training centers, including those of the MITD and ITET .

The same applies to nurseries, Polytechnics Mauritius teaching centers , and public and private tertiary institutions. However, online classes will be able to take place.

However, school principals and non-teaching staff are invited to visit their establishments to carry out an assessment in order to guarantee the safety of the premises.
