This material will be introduced in the second quarter and will be mandatory for Form 1-3. The Mauritius Institute of Education, with the support of other partners, has developed the curriculum. Teacher training is expected to start next vacation.

Introducing Entrepreneurship Education announced since 2012, will be on a pilot basis in the second quarter. The educational impact of the entrepreneurial approach is an invitation for students to become aware of the world around them and to empower them to act on their environment adequately structured.

however there will be no selection on institutions side who will be embarking on this new formation. "We will train teachers who feel ready. They can then begin to teach Entrepreneurship Education ", says one side of the Ministry of Education.

decision to introduce Entrepreneurship Education follows the meeting of Ministers of Commonwealth countries last August where the importance of include entrepreneurship in the curriculum had been raised. This new material is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and skill acquisition in secondary schools. Many young people who leave school often have difficulty finding a job.
