Money Laundering: "Queen of Plaine Verte" Arrested
Naserah Bibi Vavra (35), better known as "the queen of Plaine Verte" and whose name was mentioned in the case Gro Derek, was arrested Monday after an investigation by the Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC ) for money laundering.

Officially, the young woman is unemployed and has in the past worked as a seller of slippers. Investigators then questioned his being princely life. Moreover, the ICAC, which opened an investigation into his wealth, had obtained the garnishment of his bank account, his Mercedes and a house in St. Croix. The ICAC would mainly determine the source of funding.

During her interrogation, "the Queen of Plaine Verte" insisted that her parents abroad helped her financially and she was a close partner in a business of selling 'Briani'. Her husband, Sidick Islam, is serving a sentence of 45 years in prison for drug trafficking.

Altercation between officers and "Queen of Plaine Verte"

Visiting her husband in prison in Beau Bassin Monday that Naserah Bibi Vavra, nicknamed the "Queen of Plaine Verte", was picked by the authorities. Investigators from the Independent Commission against Corruption was not satisfied with his explanation of the money she had received from her relatives. At one point, Naserah Vavra Bibi was suspected of being part of the network, but eventually the police had found nothing to incriminate him. However, the ICAC was interested in her fate after Ashish Dayal, one of the suspects arrested in the wake of the investigation, was at the table and denounced his former accomplices and their illegal activities. Who is Naserah Vavra?

Naserah Vavra, 35, came under the spotlight after the breakup of the Gro Derek case. Old college student Muslim Girls, she married for the first time at the age of 14 years. Follow the chess lovers and divorce with a upholsterer and a former minister. Finally, she rebuilt her life in 2006 with Sidick Islam, her childhood friend. The latter was arrested three months later in a drug case. She told Le Matinal last year that she had nothing to do with drug trafficking and his relatives in Italy help financially. Naserah Vavra is also known by the nickname 'Lady Diana'.
